It’s surprising a product like this didn’t come into existence earlier. The Surface Pro allows all the features of a PC on a tablet so that it’s essentially a laptop with a touch screen. Unlike the iPad, you can install anything for PC on your Surface pro- Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, etc. In line with Microsoft’s philosophy, it doesn’t restrict the user to products specifically designed for Surface. Styluses with precise tips allow the user to take hand-written notes in Word. They also open up many possibilities for designers and digital artists in terms of doing sketches on the run in Adobe.
With add-ons and warranty, the new Surface can easily cost as much as a nice laptop, but hopefully it’ll become more accessible as the public warms up to it.
