A jar of whiteboard paint might not be sexy or technical, but I want it.
My inclusion of this example is drawn from three main areas: simplicity, utility, and promise. The first two are self-explanatory: whiteboard paint is flexible and can fit into many design sensibilities. It is useful: converting walls into whiteboards allows people to write, draw, and plan. But my real attraction to whiteboard paint comes from the promise it holds. The promise of creativity.
In short, having whiteboard walls means that you have way too many cool ideas. Whiteboards walls means you deal with challenges so complicated they need to be visualized. They mean you are involved in something spontaneous, exciting, challenging. Whiteboards are sometimes symbols of techno-entrepreneurial frenzy, and whiteboard walls are no less cool.
